St Charles Wedding | Amanda + Eric

As the old wooden doors swung open you could feel yourself engulfed in the history of the 1952 Methodist Church, a landmark in the downtown St Charles area. With every step you were pulled further and further into the Wisconsin Lannon stone with cut stone detailing representing a modified Gothic architecture. Anyone that passed through the heart of downtown on Rt 64 drove by this treasure. Founded by Col. Edward J Baker in memory of his parent's, Edward and Martha, this is the place Amanda and Eric chose to join their lives as husband and wife. It was tradition in Amanda's family to get married at Baker Methodist Church, for her great, great Uncle was Col. Baker.

Much like the church Amanda and Eric stood in front of family and friends vowing to spend their lives together, every detail of their wedding day was carefully thought out and executed with precise precision. Amanda's details were incredible. Everything tied together and had a purpose. Her stunning necklace she wore was her something borrowed, a gift her grandpa gave her grandma on their wedding day. It was originally a pendant, but her mom changed it into a necklace when she got it.. Her third wedding band held the birth stones of her now husband, which just so happened to be the same blue as their wedding colors. The reception space looked like something out of a fairy tale. The moment you stepped into the space you were engulfed in a sweet floral scent. Carla and her team at St Charles Country Club did an incredible job transforming the space. Greenery wrapped with twinkle lights draped from the ceiling creating a beautiful canopy over the sweet smelling flowers below. It was absolutely breathtaking.

Congratulations Amanda and Eric! I loved getting to know you both throughout the entire process, as well as Stella (the couples Bernese Mountain Dog). You are both super sweet with big hearts. I knew it the moment you stepped into my studio for your first consultation. Kindness surrounds you. It was even more apparent on your wedding day. I have never seen so many friends and family tear up with happiness. You are both so loved. Have a wonderful time in Australia for your honeymoon. I hope this is the first of many fantastic adventures ahead as husband and wife. XOXO Joy
