One of the things I love about the Chicago wedding industry is how supportive everyone is of one another. Being a small business is a tough job with a lot of uphill battles, but having the support of fellow small business owners is an amazing gift.
There are a lot of communities in Chicago that allow us to stay connected and teach one another to grow. The Wedding Wednesday group in the Chicago Suburbs was created by Kelly Reif, owner of Kelly Reif Stationary Studio, about three years ago. Two years ago Dana Ross and myself joined the team. It has been a wonderful adventure meeting so many wedding professionals in all stages of their business and life. I love being part of a community like this. There is so much talent in Chicago!
The event pictured below is from our February gathering at Joliet Union Station in their Grand Ballroom. I had the privilege of capturing all the beautiful details put together by the Rustique Swan. An adventure, travel themed event was perfect for the train station depot.
If you are a wedding vendor in the Chicago area and want to hang out with us too, join our Facebook group! We meet the last Wednesday of every month at a different venue in the Chicago Suburbs. Be sure to say hi! I would love to meet you :)
