Pinstripes Oak Brook Wedding | Jessica & Erik

Talk about down to earth and just sweet as can be. These Disney lovers are my people! After getting to know Jessica, Erik and Maddie over the past year I knew their wedding would be awesome. And, it totally was!

Of course we were off to a fantastic start when the girls were joking that "it's coronation day!" (a Frozen reference for those that don't know). Jessica has been counting down the days to Frozen 2 along with her wedding countdown. Like I said, my kind of people! But enough Disney talk (although Jessica looked prettier than a princess).

After a little champagne squirting fun (and a few gulps from the bottle), the bridal party got dressed in anticipation for the first look. I will never forget how excited Jessica and Erik were to talk to each other again. As Jess was getting ready she said this is the longest they had ever gone without speaking. No communication of any kind. Radio silence until they first look. So, when that moment finally came that they not only got to see each other, but talk to each other the were elated.

It was a brisk November day with a definite chill in the air, so we did not stay outside too long for portraits. Thankfully after the unexpected Halloween snow there was still some color left on the trees and we were able to capture some beautiful fall wedding portraits. After that it was a quick car ride back to Pinstripes to get hitched and celebrate!

Jessica and Erik, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day. Maddie crawling under your dress during the garter toss was epic! I am still chuckling about it and probably will for years to come. Wishing you all many years of love, laughter and Disney magic!!! XOXO Joy
