The Drake Oak Brook Wedding | Anka & Chris

Elegant, classy, timeless.... with perhaps a touch of princess. Those are three words I would use to describe Chris and Anka's wedding day. Even though the skies threatened rain, it did not dampen the spirits of this happy couple. After ten years of dating they were ready to say I do. No matter what! Anka worked so hard pulling together so many personal details fit for royalty. Beyond her crown, which was incredible, she had a small Cinderella carriage for the tiniest of flower girls. On top of that the little gentleman wore suits only Prince Charming would be proud of.

Chris had a smile on his face that glowed, especially when he looked at Anka. There was so much love between the two of them. However, it went deeper. You could tell they both truly loved and respected one another just the way they were. Which only makes a stronger bond between two people.

After the couple shared the special moment of becoming husband and wife, we headed to the historic Dominican University with it's gorgeous arches, stone walls and lush ivy. The perfect background for a couple that cherishes classic Chicago architecture. Shout out to the three students who gave up an hour of their Sunday to guide us around campus.

Our last destination was the Drake in Oak Brook, also known for timeless architecture (even with its new modern facelift). During cocktail hour, Chris, Anka and I snuck back outside for a quick husband and wife photo session before bringing them back inside to be introduced to their closest friends and family as the new Mr. and Mrs. Goduto.

Congratulations Chris and Anka!!! I hope you are having an amazing vacation in Croatia! I have no doubt you have many more amazing adventures as husband and wife in the years to come. Thank you for letting me be a part of your very special day. XOXO Joy
