I will never stop being amazing at how fast babies grow and learn. Their capacity to take information in is astounding. This is the fourth time I have taken SJ's photos. We started with his 3 month, then 6 month,
9 month and now he's ONE YEARS OLD! ONE! Seriously, it feels like just yesterday we were taking his 3 month "grumpy old man" photos.

As I tell my nephew all the time, "stop getting so big!". His response, "I can't. I have to get bigger." It's bittersweet to watch them grow up so fast. Yet, I wouldn't have it any other way. So many new experiences come with growing older. So many more exciting things to look forward to. I cannot wait to hear about Scotty's first trip to Disney one day. The kid is Mickey obsessed! He HAS to go!!! Scotty and Kristen, you know you have to take him one day. Auntie Joy will give you plenty of helpful tips :) There are so many more "firsts" to experience past the first birthday: the first day of school, the first time he starts to understand about Santa, the first time he looses a tooth, teaching him to ride a bike, his first Cubs game (because Kristen and I both know he'll be a Cubs fan, sorry Scott!). There are so many awesome moments to come!!!
Having the opportunity to capture these mile maker months before one is amazing. I love being part of the experience. Can't wait to see you again soon little SJ.
